Marketing Tip: Use Quizzes to build your list

Building an email list can feel like you're trying to summon rain from the gods during summer in the Sahara Desert.

That's why it's nice to try different methods to keep it fun for ourselves, but to also mix things up for our target market.

I've recently just launched a Quiz on my website and it's been a game changer! If you haven't used a quiz as a lead magnet yet, you definitely need to give it a go.

Here's what I recommend you do to make your quiz convert:

1. When designing your quiz, start off with the end result and work your way backwards. Honestly, this makes it sooo much easier to write the questions if you know what results you're guiding them to. For my quiz I decided to write a brand style for each season of the year.

2. Mix up your questions with fun and silly questions (such as what's your fave ice cream) and business questions. It just keeps things fun for your audience.

3. Add value for the opt in. To get people to sign up at the end, you ideally should offer something in addition to the quiz result. It could just be a link to one of your freebies, but for my quiz I designed a moodboard and colour palette for each result. They will only get this if they sign up.

I have used Interact and I highly recommend them, you can check then out here. I love them that much I decided to become an affiliate! So, if you choose to sign up using the link, I'll get a commission. I only over affiliate with companies that I have gained value from within my business, I'll never recommend anyone that I don't feel would be a good fit for my audience.

Whilst you're here, why not take my quiz and find out what your brand style is!
